The Problem with SEO Contests Using Static Sites

This is just my very own opinion and in no other terms related to whatever SEO contest is out there for a race today. I would just like to burst out a small but may be worthy opinion here regarding SEO contests like what this blog has been in to recently. Anyway, my URL alone tells it that this blog used to be for the sole purpose of generating a relevant entry to a contest where this very same blog went to the 4th place but got no prize at all because the prizes were only awarded up to the third postion.

Let us head to the point of what the title tells it. Using static sites for an SEO contest and sponsoring it might just not work for the purpose. Why? One of the reasons why I don't approve of any SEO contest (in my own opinion) with the use of a static site is that this will only amplify tardiness with webmasters. We all know that a webmaster or allow me to call them SEO is usually laiden with a lot of jobs and other workd aside from their own sites to handle ang take care of and we all know about this fact.

This being the case, SEOs wouldn't usually want to waste their time making a static site just to join a contest that will most last up to 3 months and only to win small prices including prestige if I may count it. So what's in it for them? fun? I bet not? Prestige, maybe but who want's it when the exchange rate of that small prize will only last a few weeks or even days?

Just some good old opinion and I just can't help writing it here just to let others know the consequence of launching a contest that is based on an entry that is a static site. Anyway, here's another problem with that case. If a participant will use a static site, and all the other site that he will use will give links leading only to theit entry and not to the contest sponsors. That would surely hurt a lot because we all know that SEO contest purpose is for marketing and that is marketing by getting links from the same SEO contest participants, whereas if you are the sponsor and you only allow blogs, then there will be more who are interested to join. Because we all know that blogs are a common possession to any internet webmaster, then that would be equivalent to more participants and more links which in return will generate more links for your purpose if you are the sponsor than launching an SEO contest that is based on entries using a static site. Makes sense?

Aside from the factor of time frame in making a webpage, the links that you will generate for your business if you are the sponsor and the number of joining participants, there really is more which is actually small but is worth a look. SEOs like easy ways and not just SEOs but almost all of us if possible, so to generate more interest in your contest, I think you'g rather use blogs than static sites. Anyway, this is just an opinion and nothing more. Good luck to all of you SEOs all over the world who are right now in to an SEO contest!

SEO on the Race for Srednarb Domains

At first I thought that there are so many among Filipino SEOs looking for the different domains that they can buy for the promotional items corporate gifts srednarb SEO contest but I was surprised to see that there are only a few who were indexed. There's still a lot of domains available for the contest entry if SEO are still looking for them today.

I'm beginning to think now if the decision of the organizer to have all techniques in would be a good decision at all for the contest rules because it seems that Google is not the one slow for the indexing of the contest entries but instead, the different SEO people were not yet on to any move. If they are planning to do something in the last few minutes of the contest, there is no way that the major sponsors will get what they want from the participants.

It should have been only white hat for my own opinion because if those who are planning to pour their all in link building the easy way, it will be hard for Google to find out about anything fishy so for those who are up to something in the last minute, I bet that this will only work in the last minute and not along the contest. The sponsors will not benefit from links in the indexed pages today because all the blogs are leading to the entries and not to the sponsor pages. This is just a safe opinion anyway and I still have a lot of work to do to be able to have a site indexed for the said SEO contest. I also read that Google does not encourage domains that are really dynamic and turning them into static by changing file names. This could be a turning point in the entry I am doing a push in to.

This Blog Landed 4th on the Cebu SEO Contest

I am glad that this blog landed on the 4th in the recently concluded Cebu SEO contest. This is not bad because although I did not really win anything at all among the contest prizes, I still won a lot in terms of learning using this SEO contest as an experiment.

This is the nth time that I have been to an SEO contest and next time there will more than just learning from it I will win it and do all my best to be the best when the results go final. Thank you to the sponsor of this contest and for all the participants who joined. Also to a friend James.

Finally Cebu SEO Contest Atom Feed Submitted

I finally did it with a few submission of my Atom feeds to some blogging directories out there, I hope to help spread the news in this blog much faster and without the need to do more pings everytime.

This is going to be more enjoyable for me as an SEO and be able to do so many things for an SEO contest such as what the Cebu SEO contest can offer for me. This is one of the biggest time that I alotted to this blog today< I never had the time to do things so I tried to find a way to do this now because there is a spare time and I took advantage of it.

The Cebu SEO Contest did Not End

I was surprised that the Cebu SEO contest did not end yesterday after the organizer himself announced. I actually read in his rules that the said SEO contest was really about to end on September 8 but it seems everything else changed into September 2 but now its back again to the first original date.

What seems to be happening to the contest? What could be behind this sudden change of plans for the SEO contest checkpoint? Is there something hidden here or what? I do not know anything yet here but from my point of view the contest shouldn't have been moved in the first place. This will surely generate doubts as to what the organizer wants to do or what's in his mind extending the said contest.

Cebu SEO Contest Ends Today

Finally, the Cebu SEO contest ends today with a lot of controversies and other side bets after 2 months that it took off. This is just some small SEO contest but I guess what contributed to the chaos which only took a while are the rules.

Yes it is with the rules which is actually 0 rule contest. Anyone with a site that can give the organizer a link and post a blog about the contest plus make that site rank on top in Google with the keyword Cebu SEO contest September 2, 2008 wins. There are only 3 prizes so the winning entries will take only the top 3 slots.

DP Forum is Hacked by Who?

Just today, I found out that Digital Point Forum got hacked and this is not something that happens all the time as the webmasters never saw it coming. I know that this is the first time that I was able to witness the actual hacking and saw what it looked like hacking the most prestigious forum in the SEO community and all webmasters.

I wish DP can get past this one fast because the threads that were hacked were in the major category, the Google category on Digital Point Forums.

Google Dance Affects Cebu SEO Contest

The Google dance affected the Cebu SEO contest today. I knew it when the difference in the results started to slap in my face right after I typed the keyword of the contest which is Cebu SEO contest. Even the forum members all over the SEO community and webmasters of diverse levels have complained about the Google dance.

I really don't care so much about this status but what I am worried about are the earnings of my sites. There is a very big difference between the ordinalry algorithm but this dance is a lot different compared to just your ordinary algo. This is the same cry of forum embers and webmasters all around.

Well, just having you guys out there prepare for the worst update yet once again. This could be another slap or this could be another update especially for those who are up to selling links.

The Olypics Gold Medal Contest for Cebu SEO Contestant

The Philippines got no gold in the just concluded World Olympics. We got zero once again and what does this mean? i don't know anything about it or what happened to the gold hopefuls that we have. Our bets, I thought had the big chance but when they were already playing, not even a glimpse at channel 9 about the contest on gold.

Better luck next time, contests are really something that we cannot pretend to win, we have to win it otherwise, we are a bunch of loosers, just like our Olympic athletes. I want us to win a gold in the contest for countries to have as much gold as other countries. This is not like the Cebu SEO contest wherein even if you loose, there is still another day. In the Olympics that happens only every 4 years, by that time, if you loose today, you might be as old as my grandfather. This way, you do not stand a chance for any contest.

Who's Got The Sweet Top Spot - Cebu SEO Contest

It's Rachelle's Blog that has the top sweet spot today. I don't know what she's been doing lately but I don't mind at all. The second spot was occupied by the Cebu SEO Contest organizer but he is not included of course in the contest. The third sweet spot is occupied by blueken, the Capizeno while the fourth spot which will eventually be the third is occupied by the tblog Cebu SEO Contest entry of a friend.

So far there are other entries following the results that I provided here but there is no other choice for those because the said SEO contest is about to end soon n 5 days. Not much time and there is now only a few efforts left form me to go push an a Cebu SEO contest entry in the 8th spot. Here Goes...

Tzan Tza Ra Ran - Viva Cebu SEO Contest !

Now that the end is not just near, but instead, the end is here, all Cebu SEO contest contestant are hurrying up with their effort to reach the top of the results. There seems to be nothing others can do but to praise for the top spot owner. This contest brought a lot of fun for all the participants and it also brought thrill to all who had conquered the tops spot once. This Cebu SEO contest hasn't yet reached that summit and I don't see any reason why it won't but since I am helping a friend to get there once again, here is a post that will probably get it all done.

This is a post dedicated to that Cebu SEO contest entry because I want to help that entry reach the top once again. I am giving today, that Visayan SEO a link from this blog hoping that this will have a dramatic effect on his campaign to regain the glory of being on top for so many days. The Eraser Heads Reunion Concert Pushes Through

After getting no success at all with the planned reunion concert by the Eraserheads with a sponsor, a cigarette company, Eraserheads band members get a savior in the new sponsor they have. i didn't get the name of the lucky guy.

Well, who's more lucky here but all the members of the said band that after disbanding back in 2002, they are back with their backs filled with 2 million pesos each when they finish the concert contract.

Cebu is clamoring for so long now that the said rock icon band in the early 90's would hold a concert in the popular city of Cebu for Cebuanos and Cebu SEOs who are willing to make a bargain just to see their idol band.

Master Leo is the Favorite Player of Cebu SEO and Web Master

Guess who is this favorite SEO character by the Cebu SEO and webmaster is? None other than Leo, the master in Tekken 6. I still haven't played around with Tekken 5 DR (dark resurrection) but I am here playing with the new Tekken 6 Era. A new arena for the SEO who once mastered the Tekken arena in the amusement.

Today, this post is indeed very different because I want to take away my mind from the ongoing Cebu SEO Contest which is giving me a hard time helping a friend do something for his entry. I cannot help but play with other previous tag team champions. Today is the day that I went out for some fun and I did enjoy it I must admit.

Today, my Cebu SEO blog made the contest disappearing act using the Google search with me logged in on my account. It happens all the time. As I view the results pages while signed up in my Google Accounts, the results were different. I wanted to help a friend tonight but I can't because I have so much work to do for clients.

Maybe tomorrow I can find time to do something for this entry as part of the experiment but for now I will just let it be. I just want to see what will happen right after I sign out from here after posting about the Cebu SEO Contest disappearing act. I hope my SEO blog entry can still come back

Just Experimenting - Cebu SEO Contest and Challenge

A friend, James Baldonaza who joined the Cebu SEO Contest gets a lot of comments these past few days. Contestants to the Cebu SEO contest and other challengers and participants are bugging him about winning the contest.

First I would like to make things clear for all who might be reading this blog anytime soon. THERE IS NO RULE IN THE CEBU SEO CONTEST. What exists in this SEO contest are only registration requirements in which part is to have a link back using one post leading to the organizer website which we all know.
